Dear East Side Sports Families:
East Side Sports is once again teaming up with One-on-One Basketball to offer our winter basketball league for children 3 – Grade 5. One-on-One Basketball has been providing basketball camps and clinics for many years in the greater Rhode Island area, and I am, once again, pleased to partner with them and to be able to provide a fun, recreational winter basketball program for kids.
New this year is our Little Tikes program which will offer basketball and soccer activities each session for children ages 3 and 4.
Practices and games will be held on Saturday afternoons at the Providence Country Day School in East Providence. Each group will have an hour slot. During December, the entire hour will be used for practice clinics. After the first two practice clinics (in December), players and coaches will be assigned to teams. In January and February, teams will have a 20 minute practice followed immediately by a 40 minute game.
The winter league will continue to follow the same guidelines as we have in the past regarding developmental accommodations, and philosophy—all kids play the same amount of time and they are required to have fun!
Registration and payment will go through the 1on1Basketball.com website.
